We are pressured as a society to have new things, purge everything, disposable this disposable that. Rarely are you encouraged to shop used. We are all encouraged to go buy now! Buy fast! Don't think just buy! Buy it so cheap and so crappy online. You feel so busy that's why you bought it there and you don't even have the time to return it. Junk pile. Pollution.

How many ads do you see encouraging you to go buy your coffee pot second hand? I'd imagine none, what about clothes, games, decor, flower pots, sheets, rugs, lamps.... none, none, none.

This is one place you start. Decide what you can handle being used and wait, wait to find the perfect used item. Instant gratification is not actually all cracked up to be. A lot of times you regret the purchase, you make plans to return, and punish yourself for not following through. Why not just wait and selectively select what you know you'll love at a lower price and eco friendly?

Another place to consider being eco fabulous is your food shopping. Bring your own bags and containers! Bring net bags for produce and even old plastic bags if you don't have reusable ones.. we know they are in your cupboard!

Transportation is another level of eco fabulousness! You know, walking, biking, buses, horse back lol.

And you can always count on other brands for doing some of the work for you. Like us! We upcycle so you don't have to. There are many other items and brands out there that happily do the same! Consider searching for upcycled brands and products and see what you find.
