We make Upcycled accessories using 2nd hand clothing. Reversible visors, bucket and sun hats. Running/pony tail hats, beanies, fingerless gloves and legwarmers.

We save tons and tons of clothing from reaching the landfill yearly. For 20 years we have been carting out heaps of clothing to chop up and turn into wearable pieces of art. We keep a high standard for our materials and machines for creating long lasting products people love and cherish. It is our love for textiles, sewing and the planet that together create a unique environment for creating, innovating and staying current as a small business.

Est. 2007 by my mother Jackie Priess, JAX Hats aka JAX Upcycled. Jackie made me the very first hat from a recycled sweater she did not want to throw away. My friends and my family then all desired an upcycled JAX Hat from my mother and the business was born. I sat down at the first farmers market table back in 2008 with 10 hats and they sold out… We were in business. I started helping my mother with photoshoots, marketing and sewing and when I moved to Portland Oregon from Missoula in 2012 I started my own JAX Hats. Fast forward a decade and some and here we still are creating the same great products with the same original pattern and we continue adding new patterns for new products every year.

I am currently in Bend Oregon with a small team helping me supply inventory for every weekend of my year at events, wholesale accounts across the United States and to our local stores and here on Shopify!
